Your options

There are two different options with Invisalign – standard or Advanced – and each one is used for different orthodontic needs.

Each option works differently and we will discuss each one with you during your consultation in order to explain the most suitable for your individual needs.

Referrals

As the leading practice in Hertfordshire, we are pleased to accept referrals from other dental professionals.

One of the benefits of Invisalign is their ClinCheck system. During your consultation we will take detailed digital scans of your mouth, which can then be uploaded to the ClinCheck system.

This allows us to show you how your teeth will move during the treatment and how they will look at the end…before your treatment even begins! This is a fantastic glimpse into the future that our patients love.

Ask the expert

  • Every case is individually assessed and put into a treatment plan. This means that the number of aligners varies between patients, but the average treatment time is between 6 to 8 months.

  • Attachments are tooth coloured bumps placed on the front surface of the teeth. Most patients say how unnoticeable they are, especially when the aligners are in place. All cases will need some attachments and the number depends on how complex the tooth movements required are.

  • Aligners are worn for at least 22 hours per day and should only be taken out for eating, drinking hot drinks and staining drinks. Patients get used to this process very quickly, and it is necessary for the treatment to work.

  • It is important that the teeth are retained in their new position to prevent relapse. This is usually achieved by using Vivera removable retainers at nighttime or a fixed retainer attached to the back of the teeth.
