Our team is led by Dr Julian Caplan, a highly trained, world-class dentist with more than 30 years’ experience. Dr Caplan is one of the most well-respected authorities on cosmetic, restorative and digital dentistry in the world and is actively involved in research on a wide range of dental techniques with UK and international universities.

An innovator in digital dentistry

Often regarded as ‘The Grandfather of Digital Dentistry’ thanks to his forward-thinking early adoption of this approach, Julian is passionate about digital dentistry and the benefits it offers to his patients. He is one of very few dentists in the UK using such advanced digital technology to improve patient care.

Julian is also a key opinion leader, a full member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (BAAD) and has previously taken on the role of President for both the Digital Dentistry Society UK, and the British Association of Cosmetic Dentists (BACD).

International educator, author & Key Opinion Leader

Having perfected his craft, Julian is keen to share his knowledge and expertise with dental colleagues across the world to ensure that all patients receive the very best dental care.

As a result, Julian has become an international educator, lecturing in the USA, across Europe, Taiwan, Iraq, Libya and Dubai on the use of digital technology in cosmetic, orthodontic and implant dentistry. Julian has a special interest in CAD/CAM dentistry, teaching other dentists how to use this revolutionary technology to make crowns and veneers in a single visit.

He is also an author, regularly contributing to scientific journals and is currently writing a chapter for a digital dentistry book.

In order to ensure he is always immersed in the latest techniques and advanced approaches to dentary, Julian has travelled the world attending several courses to learn from the grandmasters of dentistry.

Julian likes to lead a healthy life and outside of work he can often be found running, playing golf or walking his dogs, Hector and Eddie. He can also add music to his long list of talents and has previously enjoyed playing in a band.
